This workshop, filled with practical activities and role play, is designed to build your confidence around pitching to the media, helping you to:
Get to know journalists and build media relationships to maximise results
Understand the rules of media engagement
Write compelling email pitches that stand out from the crowd
Feel more confident pitching over the phone

Ahead of the training, please take a look at the workshop overview above and drop Sarah an email by 29 June with any areas you would particularly like to focus on.
Please also have a think about a client story that you have recently worked on or are currently working on, for the practical exercises on day two.
It would be great if you could bring a laptop along to the training with you.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
SENIOR MEDIA & PR OFFICER
Thorough research and preparation coupled with expert knowledge on how the media industry works.
I came away from our strategic writing session feeling as if I had really learnt some tangible skills that I could apply directly to my day to day job.
I thought the session was incredibly well prepared and planned out with some great resources to take away, and everyone was engaged throughout the day.
