ABOUT THE TRAINING
I'm looking forward to seeing you for these workshops.
Writing marketing copy to promote events, such as training, consultations or focus groups involves striking a careful balance between delivering factual messages and providing inspirational hooks: too factual and it will be dry; too creative and the essentials will be lost.
You will come away from this session with greater confidence in your writing. You will develop a range of skills to engage the audience, spice up content and deliver concise marketing copy that successfully sells your products and services.
Module 1: Marketing Principles
Understand core marketing principles
Gain clarity around the purpose
Appreciate different reader needs
Help them understand the ‘why’
Know what to include and what to omit
Take a consistent approach to layout
Cross-promote and provide links to additional resources
Module 2: The Art of Writing
Discover how to enjoy writing with flair
Add sparkle through creative descriptions
Craft compelling headlines
Make the first paragraph count
Convey the key information succinctly
Adopt the right tone and style
Choose attention grabbing language
The training will be highly interactive, with plenty of opportunities to practise the techniques via a variety of exercises, such as writing, group breakout sessions, quizzes, and reviewing best practice examples.
See you in April!

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
SENIOR HR BUSINESS PARTNER
We wanted to help our teams improve their writing skills in order to produce polished, professional business writing. The course focused on the essential skills to write clearly and effectively. It was an excellent and well received course which created a buzz in the office.
ROYAL SOCIETY OF BIOLOGY
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Margaret has delivered two writing courses for the Royal Society of Biology, one in-person and one by video conference platform Zoom. Margaret is great at what she does and created very engaging and interesting courses. My colleagues who attended the course were full of praise for Margaret and the way she delivered the course, particularly via Zoom, where she managed to maintain a good level of interactivity.
