ABOUT THE TRAINING

For many of your team members, the pandemic is taking its toll on mental health, well-being and stress levels. This workshop is designed to support leaders and managers, as you help teams navigate these difficult times. 

You’ll come away feeling equipped to deal with issues head on, knowing the right things to say, and how and when to say them.

 

  • Spot signs of mental health issues in your team

  • Find the right questions to ask and language to use 

  • Demonstrate active, non judgemental listening 

  • Remove the awkwardness; normalise the conversation; communicate with confidence

  • Understand the boundaries of what’s confidential and when to escalate to HR or seek professional advice 

  • Work with individuals to create an action plan, supported by regular check-ins

  • Practise self care - put your own mask on first

To make sure you feel comfortable and prepared for our workshop, please could you complete the following steps:

 

In advance: 

 

On the day: 

  • Find a comfortable, quiet space, where you won’t be interrupted

  • Join 5 mins early, to check the tech and settle in, ready to start on time

  • Be prepared, as we’ll ask you to have your cameras on throughout

  • Try to join via laptop/computer (although we appreciate some of you might only have access via mobile phones)

  • Bring your mobile phone too, as you’ll ideally need a second device (again, don't worry if this isn't possible)

  • Have a pen and paper to hand

ABOUT KERRY SAVAGE

Kerry Savage is an inspirational and dynamic coach and trainer, who is passionate about helping others succeed. 

Over the years, she has worked within many high profile organisations, including Formula 1, Sony, eBay and the British Fashion Council.

She has helped people overcome significant communications challenges, such as building their professional brand, dealing with change and presenting under pressure.

She is an accredited in Liberating Leadership, a licensed Insights Discovery® practitioner, a member of the Association for Coaching and NLP trained. She holds a post graduate certificate in executive coaching from Henley Business School. 

She is a mentor for Breaking Barriers, a charity that helps refugees to rebuild their lives & find meaningful employment. She is a volunteer coach for the NHS, supporting clinicians during Covid.
