ABOUT THE TRAINING
During the last session, you made clear your desire to build proactive teams and encourage individuals to use their initiative more, continuing the theme of productivity and communication.
A key way to do this is by taking a coaching approach to management, so next week’s session is dedicated to Coaching Conversations.
I listened to your feedback, so I know you like the interactive exercises and breakouts. Next Friday, there will be an opportunity to do more of this fun stuff, while learning some vital coaching skills.
Please scroll down for the prep.
Part 1: I would like you each to bring a tension/frustration/niggle with a client or colleague to be coached on. Examples might be:
They don’t reply to your emails.
They don’t deliver work on time.
They drop things on you at the last minute.
They keep cancelling meetings.
They are negative and low energy.
These conversations will be completely confidential and only shared with your coaching partner, privately in the breakout room. Equally, if there’s something you’d like to get off your chest with one of your fellow ADs, it will be a safe, respectful space in which to do so. Email me in advance, so I know to pair you up.
Part 2: I will also be asking you to coach the execs on their client presentation skills, following their training on this topic next Tuesday. To ensure you’re fully up-to-speed on what’s expected of them, please can you read through the attached thoroughly. There might even be some gems in there for you seasoned presenters!
