ABOUT THE TRAINING
I'm looking forward to seeing you for the People Management programme. Here's a content overview, so you can see what we'll be covering.

These modules teach you how to get the best from your teams. They will help you to develop emotional intelligence and to have inspirational, positive conversations to boost performance.

Map your teams onto the DiSC wheel, and create a workable action plan to boost performance
Know how to deliver recognition that is heard and appreciated; practise positive reinforcement
Understand the difference between intrinsic and extrinsic motivators
Modules 3 & 4: Delegating and Briefing
You will come away from these sessions with a clear idea of how to step up and let go. You will learn how to build a culture of ownership and initiative, resulting in improved performance.
Learn to deliver consistently clear, thorough briefs
Get to grips with the High Challenge-High Support principles and identify your underlying beliefs
Appreciate how to brief colleagues according to their competence

Use the GROW coaching model to help team members with clarity and decision making
Check for understanding, providing space for questions and recognise incongruous non verbal signals
Modules 5 & 6: Performance Management
These modules show you how to get the best out of others by having assertive and constructive conversations about performance. You will learn how to make performance coaching a way of everyday working life.

Hold performance reviews and identify development needs
Diagnose poor performance and the reasons
Understand how to structure critical feedback
Communicate expectations assertively and explicitly
Modules 7 & 8: Challenging Situations

Know how and when to address conflict
Learn how to use rewards and penalties
Plan for different types of difficult conversation
Empathise with other people’s motives, such as frustration, vulnerability and threat
Diffuse heated scenarios assertively and sensitively
Deal with emotional responses, push back and denial
See you soon!
Please send your responses to questions 1 and 2 to Aoife by Wednesday 31 March.
What are your 3 most important objectives for the training programme?
Describe, in detail, a people management challenge that you’re currently facing.
Please schedule 15 mins with your manager to agree your learning objectives and arrange a time, following the training, to feed back to them on your progress. This step is crucial and will be discussed during the training.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
I just wanted to say thank you so much for everything. You really are making such a difference to us all.
I found the training extremely helpful, especially ahead of some of the management conversations I’ve already had to have to have, so thanks so much!
Thank you again for the management training. It was an informative day with lots learnt and a real insight into things I usually take for granted. I have no doubt I'll be using all the things you taught us.
