ABOUT THE TRAINING

Hi everyone,

I'm looking forward to seeing you for the Presentation Skills workshops.

This interactive training provides you with advanced communication skills to be able to navigate the world of virtual meetings and presentations. You will understand what to say and how to say it. You will have the confidence to gain buy-in to recommendations and influence important business decisions with the language you use and the credibility you display.

 

​Module 1: Meeting Rituals

  • Know how to chair virtual meetings

  • Master the art of intelligent small talk and authentic chat

  • Personalise your introductions

  • Drive an outcome-driven agenda

​Module 2: Tools and Technology

  • Consider your appearance and environment

  • Demonstrate dexterity in the virtual setting

  • Understand how to use functionality for maximum engagement

  • Use graphics and PowerPoint, skilfully

​Module 3: Audience Impact

  • Appreciate the needs and motivators of different stakeholders

  • Know your purpose – what you want them to think, feel, do as a result of your communication

  • Use questioning skills to understand other perspectives and agendas

  • Listen carefully for what’s being said and not being said

Module 4: Communicating with Clarity

  • Organise thoughts correctly

  • Deliver complex information, clearly and concisely

  • Appreciate the difference between ‘in-formation’ and ‘out-formation’

  • Use metaphors, analogies and similes to build understanding

Module 5: Flow and Structure 

  • Use persuasive language to land your message

  • Choose the most appropriate structure

  • Understand how to open and close with impact

  • Signpost, flag and transition smoothly to the next section
