ABOUT THE TRAINING

Managing your reputation is critical to professional success. The purpose of this workshop is to build a personalised brand strategy that will develop your self-awareness and can be used as a vital part of your development at Rathbones. What is your current brand? Where could you improve? How can you stand out from the crowd?

 

It promises to be a really fun, interactive programme, where you will learn lots of practical techniques that you can take away and apply immediately.

Self reflection & brand awareness

  • Set your goals and objectives

  • Consider your stakeholders and how to build positive relationships, in a virtual setting

  • Appreciate the mindset and behaviours of successful professionals

  • Understand your personal communication style, its strengths and weaknesses

SESSION 2

Virtual meeting etiquette

  • Know how to prepare effectively

  • Understand meeting rituals and your role

  • Master the art of intelligent small talk and powerful questions

  • Consider your appearance, environment and technical aspects

  • Bring focus and energy

  • Stay present and demonstrating active listening

  • Maintain a strong physical presence

SESSION 3

Influence & persuasion

  • Use persuasive, influencer language to convey your messages

  • Build an irrefutable business case, using the NOSE model (needs, outcomes, solutions, evidence)

  • Demonstrate expertise and make well-researched points strongly, backed up with data and proof points

  • Pre-empt objections and resistance, building them into your recommendations

SESSION 4

Confidence building

  • Get grounded and find your authentic self

  • Prepare mentally, managing imposter syndrome and critical voices

  • Reframe limiting beliefs

  • Deal with challenging situations

  • Find your voice with more extraverted or senior colleagues

  • Think on your feet and handle difficult questions

ABOUT KERRY SAVAGE

Kerry Savage has been training and coaching businesses for the last 14 years - and working with Rathbones since 2010. She is a respected trainer with an impressive client list, including HS2, McDonald’s, Sony/ATV, Formula 1 and the BBC.
