I'm looking forward to seeing you for Presentation Skills training.
This interactive training will provide you with the opportunity to hone your communication skills, and present the best version of yourself in meetings, pitches and presentations, both virtually and in person. You will appreciate your personal presentation style and learn strategies for adapting it, where necessary. You’ll have an opportunity to practise core skills, such as body language, verbal delivery and active listening, as well as more advanced techniques, including strategic communication, sales language and influencer skills.
You’ll understand the most effective preparation techniques, even when you’re pressed for time. You’ll have an opportunity to practise core skills, such as storytelling, team work and active listening, in a safe learning environment.
Command trust and respect, by finding the perfect balance between warmth and competence
Learn how to dial up or de-emphasise your energy levels, according to your extraverted / introverted inclinations
Hone vocal delivery – pace, tone, volume and clarity – becoming aware of personal habits
Understand how to convey your message succinctly and stick to the allotted time

So that we can maximise the impact of the training, there is some prep to do beforehand. You will need to allocate a good hour to do this properly. Please don’t shortcut it. Send both parts to Sarah by Friday 12 January.
Please can you speak to your line manager and identify 3 x presentation strengths and 3 x areas for development.
Prepare a 2-min creative recommendation to a client, using a single PowerPoint slide. Send the slide to Sarah, so we can load it up ahead of the training.
We will be looking out for:
the ability to talk freely around the content on the slide, drawing conclusions and sharing insights about what this recommendation will deliver
a sense that you are having a persuasive conversation, rather than reading from a script or list of bullet points
an authentic, engaging, natural delivery style
