This practical workshop will provide you with the clarity and confidence to structure a strategic communications plan from scratch. You will understand the core framework, from taking the brief to evaluation and measurement. As well as learning how to develop outstanding and impactful campaigns, you will learn how to position your strategic thinking with clients in everyday communication.

CHALLENGING THE BRIEF

  • Interrogate the brief with advanced questioning skills 
     

  • Get under the skin of what the client really wants 
     

  • Ensure that communications objectives are aligned with business objectives 
     

  • Navigate through objectives to strategy and tactics

  • Expand the SWOT to deliver insight and originality 
     

  • Learn how to use PESTLE  
     

  • Conduct a stakeholder mapping exercise  

MODULE 3:

STRATEGY & CREATIVE THEMES

  • Run a strategic brainstorm 
     

  • Use red light thinking to evaluate ideas 
     

  • Arrive at the ‘wow’ moment effortlessly 
     

  • Navigate through objectives to strategy and tactics 

MODULE 4:

SHOWING VALUE

  • Demonstrate commercial understanding and return on investment 
     

  • Answer the 'so what?' and the 'why?' 
     

  • Demonstrate expertise, backed up with data and proof points to build an irrefutable business case 
     

  • Understand and use the latest evaluation tools

Isobel is an expert trainer, facilitator and communications professional. She has been delivering bespoke workshops to marketing agencies, in-house teams and individuals for a number of years.
